Can Shamanic Healing Be Done Remotely (Online)

Shamanic healing can be done remotely and is, in fact, exceptionally well-suited to it. The effectiveness of shamanic work is not dependent on physical proximity because the healing itself does not occur in the physical world.

Healing in Non-Ordinary Reality

The foundational concept is that the shamanic practitioner operates within non-ordinary reality—the spiritual landscape, or spirit world. This realm is not bound by the rules of physical-world time or space. Whether the client is in the same room or on another continent is irrelevant to the practitioner who is shamanic journeying. The work is performed in spirit, on the client’s energetic or spiritual body.

How a Remote Connection Is Established

A shamanic healer establishes a connection through intent. The client’s name, voice, or even just their agreement to receive the healing serves as the energetic or spiritual address. The shaman uses this link to locate the client’s spiritual counterpart in non-ordinary reality. This connection is as clear and tangible to the practitioner as a physical body in a room. From a pragmatic viewpoint, the target of the healing is the client’s soul and energy field, which are accessible from anywhere.

Shamanic Healing Techniques Done Remotely

All primary shamanic interventions can be performed remotely because they are all functions of shamanic journeying. The adept enters an altered state and travels in spirit to perform the work.

Remote Soul Retrieval

The healer journeys to find the client’s lost soul parts, which are already “remote” from the client in non-ordinary reality. The practitioner’s location is irrelevant. They find the soul part, heal it, and return it to the client’s spiritual body, integrating it from a distance.

Remote Extraction Healing

The shaman journeys to scan the client’s energetic body. Spiritual intrusions are clearly visible in non-ordinary reality. Shamanic tools and spirit allies are then used to remove the intrusion and heal the energetic wound, just as they would in person.

Remote Power Animal Retrieval

The adept journeys to find a power animal that is ready to connect with the client. They retrieve this spiritual ally and guide it to the client’s energetic field, establishing the connection remotely. This restores a source of personal power and protection for the client, regardless of location.

Remote Psychopomp Work

This work involves guiding spirits that are lost or attached to the client. This is inherently non-local work. The shaman journeys to the client’s energetic space, communicates with these attached spirits, and guides them to their next destination. This act of resolving spiritual attachments is purely spiritual and unaffected by physical distance.

Is Remote Shamanic Healing Effective

Yes. The effectiveness of shamanic healing is determined by the practitioner’s skill, the strength of their relationship with their spirit allies, and their ability to navigate non-ordinary reality. It is not determined by their physical location. For many clients, receiving a healing at home is actually more beneficial, as they are in a safe, comfortable environment where they can immediately rest and begin the integration process without the stress of travel.

The Role of Technology in Remote Sessions

Modern technology like a phone or video call is not required for the healing itself, but it is a rather useful tool for communication.

  • Consultation: It allows the shaman and the client to talk before and after the session, just as they would in a physical therapy room.
  • Witnessing: For the client, seeing the practitioner on video can be grounding and help them feel more connected to the process.
  • Focus: A voice call can serve as a simple energetic link, a focusing point for the practitioner’s intent.

The technology facilitates the human connection, but the shamanic journeying—the main healing work—is done in spirit, entirely independent of any device.
